We believe that while traumatic experiences can play a vital role in how one perceives the world, our life does not have to reflect the traumatic experiences that we have encountered.

    I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is very passionate about working with individuals that need a safe space to explore and heal from a variety of issues or disorders. When working with clients, I strive to meet individuals where they are while utilizing a variety of modalities within my work with clients. I am a trained EMDR therapist who also utilizes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectal Behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I am also comfortable implementing Faith based counseling upon request.     Shaniqua Tomlin

    I am a Licensed Social Worker with a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of St. Francis. I enjoy helping client’s work through issues that may have led to a variety of mental health symptoms. My goal is for my clients to thrive while becoming the best version of their self while healing. I recognize that counseling is a collaborative process, in which I partner with my clients, assisting clients with finding coping skills, and managing symptoms. I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person centered therapy, and solution focused therapy within my work with my clients.     I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. I believe in assisting my clients with sorting through the things that they find difficult or challenging, while creating a safe space for clients to feel safe and open. I utilize a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR therapy, Dietetical Behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques.     I am a Licensed Social Worker with a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds-addressing a variety of issues.
